Polilio Island, Quezon: A Sudden Death of Hope

Life without knowing the unknown is nothing. As I travel in the remote island in Polillo, Quezon I have witness the simplest form of living without gadgets including electricity. I have experience to live in the indigenous community, and how they are fighting to survive. This community seems already forgotten by the people in the government, children needs to travel too far to go to school. The island is a big playground of their dreams.

The innocent but happiest faces of children is the most authentic that I have seen, I have felt that life has so much to offer but here there is a sudden death of hope and life is not a fairy tale.

Burdeos is a fourth class municipality and geographically located in the coastal part of Polillo Island in the first Congressional District of the Province of Quezon, a town that is trapezoidal in shape, facing the vast Pacific Ocean. This is the most amazing place that I have never expected that I am still in the Philippines.

This experience thought me that life is an unending story, no whining on the past and not to be consumed on the future but to appreciate life at the moment.
